Many of the so called rescues go overboard in my opinion, in requiring some very stringent home requirements for their animals. Some require a yard. I guess most of the people in New York city would not qualify for a pet since they live in high rises. Some say no young children. First, take a round laundry basket that is not broken. find a blanket that you may have lying around, that smells like your family or kitty. An old 50″ x 60″ polar fleece lap blanket is ideal. Cut the blanket into strips. Different laundry baskets have different sized holes, so cut strips a little wider than the holes. Cut strips long enough to wrap all the way around the edge of the basket, with some extra to tie off the blankets strips at the point where they meet. Begin weaving each strip in and out of the holes in the basket. Weave one strip around each row of holes in the basket. When the ends meet, tie off. Continue weaving one strip through each row of holes.

If you have many cats, certainly consider creating a napping spot for each feline. If you don’t want three or four kitty beds in your home, you may want to shop for a cat condo which allows several feline friends to sleep in raised spots. Look for a cat condo that has climbing areas and a spot to sharpen claws in addition to sleeping areas. That will surely make your furry friend feel at home.
